Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions About Our Process

Answers to the questions we hear most from consumers and attorneys.

Do I have to pay for a case review?

No. Your initial case review is completely free, with no obligation to move forward.

How long does the review process take?

Most submissions are reviewed by our intake team within a few business days. If your case is referred to an attorney, timing can vary based on the complexity of your situation.

What documents should I upload?

Collection letters, emails, text messages, voicemail recordings, call logs, credit reports, debt validation requests, dispute letters, and any court documents related to the debt.

Will I speak with an attorney?

If your case is referred and an attorney accepts your matter, that attorney will contact you directly regarding representation and next steps.

What laws may apply to my situation?

Depending on the facts, your case may involve the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), or applicable state consumer protection laws.

Does submitting a form create an attorney-client relationship?

No. Submitting information to Hill & Levy Financial Services does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship is only formed directly between you and a participating attorney, if one agrees to represent you.

Can I apply if I already have a lawyer?

If you're already represented by an attorney for this matter, please consult with them before submitting a case review with us.
